This is a follow up to a previous book by Bible expert Ehrman, Misquoting jesus. It’s a brilliant piece of anti-christian writing, as a book. It includes revelations that, for example, Jesus, Paul, Matthew, and John all represented fundamentally different religions – and that hristian doctrines—such as the suffering messiah, the divinity of Jesus, and the trinity—were the inventions of later theologians – this will be a shock to people who believe the bible to be the literal word of god, but i get the feeling that it won’t change too many minds, and that people who have decided that they believe in the literal truth of the bible, and invested time in it, will simply choose to ignore this compelling book.
