Corey Smith and Marquis Cooper lost at sea

The Coast Guard is still searching off the coast of Florida this Sunday to find a fishing boat NFL players Corey Smith and Marquis Cooper and two other men went missing on almost a day ago in choppy seas.

Cooper is the owner of the boat and he and Smith had been on fishing trips before, said Ron Del Duca, agent Smith. The couple had been on the team Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004. Two others were aboard: Bleakley and Schuyler, both former University of South Florida players.

Smith and Cooper were in a 21-foot Clearwater boat passing through a fishing trip on Saturday morning and did not return as expected, the Coast Guard said Sunday. The crew used a helicopter and a 47 footer to search over 750 square miles west of Clearwater step, but bad weather made the search difficult. Officials do not receive a distress signal from the missing boat.
