Rumors are swirling on Trent Richardson, a 5-star running back reported today it has committed to Alabama. UG Richardson was the beginning of the process, but has committed to Bama in June, taking everyone by surprise. He continued to visit, to listen to other coaches, and despite always saying, “I am committed to Alabama,” which never seemed to be committed to that commitment. It has always been couched in terms such as “I’m committed now,” or “I committed to Alabama, but I will make my final decision later.”
Richardson is a very good lap. It’s fast and very, very strong. He is a power, but also with some movements in his arsenal. Think Lebrandon Toefield, without injury to the knee.
Word came Monday that Trent Richardson may be ready to sever ties with Alabama and things close to Florida and LSU. Dandy Don reported a “feeling” would come to LSU if Rueben Randle Richardson also. Many people have a little fun at Don over spending, but I can tell you from my few years of blogging about the newspaper occasional bad spelling and bad grammar happens to everyone who puts out a lot of words a little time, and Don the right, at least as often as it has been bad in recent years. He has good information and gives it free to anyone who wants it. He is good in my book, but that’s another story.
