Etta James has lashed out at Beyonce weeks after she sang a James classic “At Last” for Obama’s first dance at the opening.
At a concert in Seattle last week, James told the crowd, “I say that women had to sing it, sing my song, she is going to have his ass whupped’”, sarcastically calling her the” great Beyoncé. ”
And she went on.
“I can not Beyoncé … [she] had no business singing my song … I’ve been singing forever.”
Even the president himself was attacked. “You know your president, right? You know the big ears? He is not my president.”
James was unable to attend the inauguration for health reasons.
Beyonce actually played James in “Cadillac Records”, released in December. Above photo is from the movie premiere.
