Stop the presses – Lions team spokesman Bill Keenist reported today that Jon Kitna has been traded by the team to Dallas, in exchange for 32 yr old Anthony Henry, Cornerback. His contract is in its last year – he’s currently on a salary of 2.6 million, and he’s got a massive 1 million dollar roster bonus coming up in the summer.

jon Kitna, who entered the past three seasons as the Lions’ starting QB, was shelved by the lions onto injured reserve last season with a back injury. His roster bonus was 1 million, but he restructured his deal with the Cowboys.
Last week the media asked if the Lions were atempting to trade Kitna, Keenist said: “We look at options for trade for a lot of players, for all of our players, really. If something kind of came up where we had an opportunity to trade Jon and there was value for us, we would certainly look into that.” Watch this space to see how the deal pans out.
