Participated in the RAW Diva Search 2004. Despite not winning the competition, Mary was engaged also in WWE. Maria started on RAW as a backstage interviewer. He received a role in “Dumb Blonde / Blonde Innocent” (despite being a brunette), mistakes she made in her interviews. Among his “stupid” are calling the wrestler Edge as “The Edge”. This “stupidity” was repeated in several interviews, which include, John Cena, Big Show and Mick Foley. Maria quickly gained great popularity because of this role on RAW. Another example was when she asked Chris Masters about his nickname, “The Masterpiece” and mistakenly called him “The Masturbate”.
In 2005, Maria he participated in his first match on the January 10 edition of RAW. He faced Christy Hemme, but was defeated due to interference from Lillian Garcia.
The October 31 edition of RAW, Maria competed in a contest for Halloween, dressed as an angel. He received great public support, but Victoria and Mickie James attacked her. She also competed at Taboo Tuesday 2005 by the Women’s Championship but was the first eliminated.
On November 14, Maria competed in a Diva Battle Royal at the tribute to Eddie Guerrero on RAW. Maria was for a long time in the struggle, participating only when he saw the opportunity to eliminate a participant, his strategy worked well, eliminating Jillian Hall and Victoria. The November 28 edition of RAW, Maria interviewed then-General Manager Raw Eric Bischoff on the idea of his possible dismissal. Bishoff, hateful, put it in a fight with Kurt Angle. Maria was laid out with the Angle Slam, but John Cena came out to defend it. The December 5 edition of RAW, Maria testified in the trial against Eric Bischoff as General Manager. Mick Foley asked a question by Mr. Socko, to which she replied, unusually intelligently, “Last week Bischoff abused his power maliciously, and in this hasty decision put me in a fight with Kurt Angle, and it should be cause for immediate dismissal.”
In December 2005 Tribute to the Troops, the RAW Superstars visited Afghanistan to perform for the soldiers. Maria and Candice Michelle defeated Ashley Massaro and Trish Stratus in a tag team match called “Santa’s Helper Diva Tag Team Match.”
