Nova Henry, mother of former Bulls player Eddy Curry of the child’s child, was found fatally shot Saturday in his apartment in South Loop, a source confirmed.

Henry Nova, 24, his son and daughter, Ava, was found dead about 6 pm in the 0-99 block of West 15th Street, police said. Officers found Henry 3-year-old son in the apartment unharmed Burnham station.
Police are seeking a “known acquaintance” of women in connection with the murder. Curry, who now plays for the New York Knicks, was in Philadelphia on Saturday for a game. He was in New York later that night, distraught and contemplating a trip to Chicago, said the source.
Henry’s mother found her daughter and granddaughter on the floor, officials said.
A source close to Curry-married father of four says the basketball player who says he is not the father of Ava Henry.
Court records show that Henry Nova filed two separate petitions to establish paternity in November 2005 and September 2008.
The source said that Curry is very active in the life of his son.
A man who identified himself as Uncle Henry said he had been having problems with a boyfriend, but police would not comment. The uncle also said that the grandmother’s funeral took place of Henry on Saturday.
Patrick Sullivan, 30, said that living in the building a few meters from the victim on the second floor of the unit, said the victims were moved in two months, but I do not recall ever seeing around.
Several hours after the bodies were found, the police had cordoned off the area and a coach who believes that holding the relatives and friends of the victims was parked nearby.
Curry, who was traded by the Bulls to the Knicks in October 2005, has had a tumultuous month.
On Monday, the former limousine driver Curry made allegations of sexual harassment and racial discrimination in an explosive demand. The lawsuit alleges that the athlete made unwelcome sexual advances, said after a gun in it, made “hateful and intentional acts of discrimination” and subjected to “derogatory, abusive, anti-Semitic insults.”
