A light aircraft struck power line and fuel trakare in a wooded area near a West Virginia airport, killing all six people on board, authorities said.
Shortly before the crash Friday, the pilot radios nearby airport, warning that the level was almost no fuel.

Witnesses said the plane flying low, then the electricity went out. “The pilot has Mayday», said Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Jim Peters. “The warning was based on a small amount of fuel.”
Officials initially said three people were killed in the crash, but later revised the number of victims to six.
The Piper PA-34 trakare less than two miles from the Tri-State Airport near the Ohio and Kentucky state lines.
Peters said Tri-State to be in cooperation with the pilot when the plane suddenly lost 180 points and contact.
FAA representative Arlene Salac did not know where the plane had taken off from or where it was headed. Witness Chris Smith was with his daughter when he saw the aircraft.
“It was flying very low», said the Herald Dispatch of Huntington. “It was flying so low it could throw a stone and hit the underside of the aircraft.” Smith of his wife, Amanda, said he heard and saw a hard blow near power lines shaking. Then the lights went out.
“My husband went with my daughter because sleigh ride and said,” Call 911. A plane trakare, “Smith told the newspaper. Appalachian Power confirmed the plane hit a transmission line, but the spokesman Phil Moye said power in the region only slightly affected.
