This year’s Preakness in-field experience will differ from previous years. People will not be permitted to create their own drinks, but they get to hear live music. Preakness officials announced Thursday that no beverages of any kind, including alcohol and water will come in land to the public. In the past, fans could carry coolers filled with beer cans. However, during May 16 Preakness utilized spectators will have to buy drinks.

Maryland Jockey Club President and CEO Tom Chuckas says the aim is “to the Preakness better experience for everyone.” There will be other changes. Rock group Z.z. Above-and Grammy-nominated Buck Cherry will perform together with a still-to-be-named third team.
It is also a pro volleyball tournament and interactive video-like games.
