This much loved boradcaster and radio personality sadly died in the evening yesterday, most probably from heart related problems, or a heart attack. A special show on Rick is going to air on the coming Monday from 9-12 AM on WOOD-AM., so don’t forget to tune in.

Colleen Pierson, press entertainment writer, interviewed Rick on many occasions, often on the subject of his health difficulties. She said of Rick Beckett that he “was always very honest about the challenges he faced in his life with health issues and made numerous lifestyle changes to stay healthy, I will miss his quick wit, personable nature, gift of gab, and how he made you feel special. He always appreciated his WOOD AM family and his beloved pets.” Rick Beckett will be sorely missed by his radio listeners and his friends and family.
