Tracy Hottenstein found dead in Sea Isle City

Police have succesfully identified a woman whose body was found in the bay back on the morning of February 15 

According to County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and Sea Isle City police chief Thomas D’Intino, the deceased was positively identified as 35-year-old Tracy Stein Hotte of Conshohocken, Pa.

Her body was found at about 7:50 by a concerned citizen in the Sea Isle City Marina on the 42nd place, the police said. 

Research has shown that Hotte Stein was Sea Isle City for the annual Polar Bear Plunge weekend, that attracts thousands of visitors to the city each year, the police said. 

 
After the discovery, members of the Sea Isle City Police Department, the Cape May County prosecutor Major Crime Unit and Crime Scene Unit, the New Jersey State Police Marine Bureau, the Cape May County Sheriffs Department K-9 Unit and the United States Coast Guard arrived on scene to investigate. 

According to the police, the body was scheduled to be examined by the Southern Regional Medical Examiners Office on Feb 16. 

The incident is under investigation by prosecutors and Sea Isle police.
