The USS Chung Hoon has been dispatched to protect US surveillance ships in the South China sea – this after the incident in which five chinese ships and y 12 aircraft harried the USCS Impeccable and USCS Victorious, ordering them to leave the area. Here is a photo of the USS Chung Hoon:

Apparently, the US has no intention of drawing a close to its activities in the South China Sea at this time. Talks are being held between the leaders concerned. Ocean floor mapping and submarine lookout ship Impeccable will be protected by the Arleigh Burke Class destroyer Chung Hoon.
