Nova M host Randi Rhodes has been off the air for more than a week, and now Nova M co-owner Anita Drobny has written a statement on the stations station saying, “I have not had the opportunity to disclose what happened between Mr. Randi and Nova “
The statement continued: “I want you to know that all that Nova M has done has been to get her back on the airwaves. All this is her choice, and if she wants to tell you what the question is, and I hope she does, you will know but I can’t due to the contract. but I can tell you that I wanted him back on the air. He has an incredible talent and must be heard. “
Drobny thanked listeners for their support and concluded, “Randi has to make her decision on what to do with her career.” Nancy Skinner was filled with Rhodes on the air.
Rhodes term off the New M radio waves comes less than a year after she left Air America Radio following a suspension on the language she used in a public appearance. Rhodes said she was released later on a contract dispute. She signed with Nova M a few days later.

Hope that whatever dispute the station and rhodes has, they can settle the same the soonest possible time… The listeners are waiting for her come back.. they shouldn’t make the waiting long… or if she is indeed fired, then they must say so.. so that there would be no rumors surrounding the issue..

This looks serious. Lets do all we can to get Randi back on the air. Her substitute is a joke. A bad joke. All she has been doing is talking to right-wingers. This is very sad a.

yes, you’d think it can’t be that hard just to release a press statement

Randi is dearly missed. I dropped my Founder’s club membership due to her absence. Her replacement doesn’t hold a candle to her, and I was only paying to hear Randi, anyway! I am saddened by the head of the stations break down, I truly hope he pulls out of it okay. This whole thing is very sad, and only worse due to the mysterious and sudden loss of the best left wing talk show Host on the radio. I hope something positive come to light soon, and all are in better shape that it appears currently. We all miss Randi so much!

Just to comment that since Randi Rhodes radio show has left Northern Calif her time slot is a great let down. Randi and Thom Hartman are the two best things happening on radio. Both are very well informed and don’t mind stating what needs to be stated in these strange times.

got to agree with you there allen, she was a great host

I agree with Allen. I miss the logic, reasoning, and truth she provides. Thom Hartman and Randi Rhodes make listening to political radio worthwhile. I find myself lost and searching for something worth listening to during her time slot. I can’t stand the replacement.

I smell a rat in radio land. Ex Fox News Nancy Skinner is stinking up the airwaves with her no talent right wing BS. What a pathetic radio station, I quit listening completely. Hannity isn’t far behind. Long live Randi Rhodes

What’s with this childish picture of Randi? Grow up, whoever. If you don’t like Randi, fine. But give us something more than a ridiculous picture.
March 3rd, 2009 at 1:31 pm
Yeah the picture needs to be replaced. Get a set and put the Godess of the airwaves back on. I’ve been a faithful Nova M listener since Randi became a part of the network. Now I’m left with Nancy Skinner. What a let down.

What is the matter with the Progressive radio world? Are there no sponsors who will take their ads off the air until Randi returns? That’s the only ammunition we have to preserve our right to be heard.

Friday without “Bounce your Boobies” is a real drag.
